Your Ready To Work Update:

The Ready To Work NJ Program provides our candidates with the opportunity to participate in our Job Readiness 2 Day Workshop. Why, you might ask, do I have to participate in this program? I am…you fill in the blank…for XX years and I know my resume and cover letter are just perfect. I don’t expect to learn anything useful and it will be a waste of 2 days when I should be looking for a job.

That thought is just not true. The job search process has radically changed over the last 10 years. The workshop trainers at your local Community College have backgrounds in human resources, business development, and other upper level management experience. Some have formed non-profit organizations to help the unemployed get back to work. You are able to sit in their classrooms FREE of charge and learn from their experience. Why wouldn’t you take advantage of this experience? Who knows, you might just learn something that could land you a new position! Please see the upcoming workshop schedule below.

Summer Job Search – No Vacations!

Lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer goes the song! Many things in the summertime take on a more leisurely pace; including job searching. Hiring slows down and many job seekers decide to take a brief hiatus during the summer months. Refocusing on their job search in the fall seems like the solution. Is this a good strategy? NO!
